FAQ
The 411 on Extractions
- Extractions will only be performed during 90+ min treatment sessions. The skin needs to be properly prepped pre extraction and properly treated post extraction. This requires additional steps not suited to shorter treatments.
- To prevent the spread of bacteria, unnecessary trauma to the skin, risk of scarring, and hyperpigmentation— we do not extract inflamed acne. Only non-inflamed acne will be extracted, such as: normal pore congestion, blackheads, whiteheads, and closed comedones. We do not extract Milia or anything that would need to be lanced or cause bleeding.
What is High Frequency?
What is High Frequency?
High Frequency uses a small electrical current emitted from a glass electrode filled with either an argon or neon (or both) gas resulting in different lights that can be used to treat different skin conditions. Most commonly, High Frequency is used post extraction in the treatment room to help expedite the healing of acne lesions, inflammation, and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. There is no redness, sensitivity, or down time with this treatment
What is Oxygen Infusion Therapy?
Oxygen Infusion Therapy uses a pressurized pure oxygen to hydrate, nourish, and heal the skin. It is used in conjunction with highly concentrated serums targeted to your skin’s needs. The result is healthy, plumped, glowing skin. This treatment will do everything from helping to heal acne, decongest the pores, and plump fine lines and wrinkles. A staple in our treatment room!
